Supporting San Luis Obispo youth in need with enriching after school activities
What We Do
DYAEF supports the cost of children participating in youth sports, arts, education and recreation programs. The fund supports low-income families and gives preference to single-parent families.
This gives children the chance to learn how to participate in team environments; offering time to enjoy the magic of artistic creativity, and participating in structured groups that can lead to an active healthy life. These learning experiences that bring joy into children’s lives – are important opportunities for all youth. After-school activities, such as these, help to develop healthy engaged young adults.
Who We Are
Dan and Kim Conti DeGroot are committed to ensuring that all our young people across SLO can participate in important and enriching after-school activities. In 2009, they established the DeGroot Youth Activities Endowment Fund (DYAEF) held in Fidelity Charitable. The fund supports youth in need who are attending kindergarten through high school by providing the funding to access these activities.
